Carpet Time

Natalie's room has been the biggest project in our house so far. Not a huge one, but the most we've had to do!

On Friday we finally had Natalie's carpet installed!!! They called Thursday evening to see when we would be available...I said "tomorrow!" :-)

Natalie was VERY excited when she saw it!
(Wish it was in focus...)

So was Roby!

Big wedgie!

Because of not having carpet, I didn't set her room up all the way. She still have four/five boxes that I never unpacked. When we put things back in her room, we decided to put her bed in a different spot because of where the air vent is. I thought it would make her room look much smaller, but I actually like it!

Starting to unload some of those boxes.

Natalie was very worried for a while at what a big mess it was!

We finally found Baby Haley! She had been asking for her for a while!

After nearly three hours, we were done!
She was THRILLED!

Roby vacuumed while I took some of the boxes to the garage. The first thing she did was read one of the books she hasn't been able to see for the last six months!

I'm not sure if I'm going to put those butterflies up (the ones on her doll house)...I still have her pictures to put up as well.

We filled up a trash bag full of stuff that she didn't want, was broken, or was just plain trash!

I would eventually like to get shelves for her closet to help keep her organized, but stacking her toy bins will work for now.

I knew there would be no way to match the new carpet with the old...but I'd say this isn't a horrid paring. I couldn't find anything that was as "peach" as ours....oh well! It's also taller than the old because its better!

When I went to tuck her in she said:

Nat: Mom, thank you for buying me new carpet!
Me: Your welcome! Make sure you tell daddy that too.
Nat: I already did! And I really like how my room looks now!!!

Gratitude is a fabulous thing!!!

This morning when I eventually woke up, Natalie came down the stairs with a big smile! She proceeded to tell me how she spent the hour that she was awake before me: "I played with babies, then cleaned it up. Then played with my pink legoes! All that hard work was totally worth it!"

hahaha You're funny! House project?!?! Maybe put different light fixtures up in the bathrooms so we can paint them??? That's about as extreme as I can handle for a while!
