Welcome to the BROWN room! Her room has received more attention than anything else in our house! And its still not done! Because it has been such a project so far, I broke it up into a few posts.
This is what Natalie's room looked like before we did anything. It is so hard to capture the true colors...this picture doesn't look too bad, but it wasn't pretty people! Especially for a little girl!
It was much darker than this picture looks.
They didn't do a quality job with their sponge painting either.
It was all over the ceiling.
I just wasn't a fan to say the least.
We try to do little things here and there to be "Green" and one thing we did while painting was spend an extra dollar to get biodegradable drop clothes.

I was so proud of myself for covering the vent with newspaper! I later realized that it probably would have been easier to take it off... :-)
I'm sure I'm boring you by now! But I was irritated with our cable providers hookups. They are everywhere and you can't remove them! I was forced to cover them up! Maybe I should have just painted over them! ;-)
We tried the "Green" paint thinner as well...but there is a reason why paint thinner works so well. Lets just say that this stuff did not. We tried anyway!
Roby helped out a lot! I think we did two coats just to cover that brown up!

Wow that was horrible and sadly not much different than our bedroom at the moment. Im not sure if I would have been able to handle the brown except for maybe an office or something. The mustard in our bedroom has grown on me but the lack of control while painting it still annoys the crap out of me. Im not even sure how to fix it. One day I will actually repaint up there. Another project, another day.
