Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving! Hope you all did as well!!

At 7:30 am Ethan and I went to a grocery store near us so I could donate blood. Ethan went because he was curious about how they do it, and wanted to hang out. I wasn't sure if they would let him, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. We got there half an hour before my appointment, and didn't get called out to bus until twenty minutes after the appointment time. I was worried I wouldn't be able to donate because last time my iron level was 0.1 above the minimum. I'd been making sure to take my multi-vitamin every day and eat foods high in iron for about two weeks before. My iron was well over what I needed, and I got done donating quickly because I was well hydrated. I asked Ethan if he could see anything and what he thought about it. He said he could only see the two people closest to where they asked him to sit, but thought it was cool and that he would want to donate when he gets older. I took a pic of me donating to show Ethan and to torture Roby.

When we got home I tried to make Monkey Bread for the first time, but it didn't turn out very well...errrr at all. I cooked it for almost 20 minutes longer than all the recipes said, and it was still completely raw. I'm not sure why... We had an alternative breakfast, then started the turnkey and other fixings!

We had a friend over because her husband was on alert. I was happy Roby was home, I think he's going to be gone for Christmas again this year. The turkey was extremely juicy, and there were enough sides to last at least two more meals!! Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without pumpkin pie! With the Oreo pie, we had enough desert for several days as well! We stuffed ourselves, and after our friend left, Roby and I passed out on the couch for almost two hours. To end the day, we all played a game of Phase 10 (the kids' current favorite card game!).

It was an extremely nice, relaxing day! I don't know how I ended the day with only the pic of me donating blood...sorry! Instead, and probably more fun, here are links to our Thanksgivings past...2009, 2008, and 2007! (Natalie looks so stinking cute, and LITTLE, when she helped me stuff the turkey in 2007!!!) Plus, the table looked almost exactly like last year...

167 days until I graduate!
