Our Feast

This was the only picture I took yesterday. :-) We had a simple feast, but it was pretty good! I was thankful to have all that food, and that we were in OUR house (I'm still very glad that we aren't living in military housing!!!). The oven did stop working soon after I put the turkey in...it does that sometimes, so we didn't eat until about two hours after I had planned, but it was not a big deal, none of the sides were ruined! Because I've been so busy, I thought it would be much easier to buy a precooked turkey. It was in some ways; you didn't have to make sure it got to a certain temperature...but I don't think I'll be doing it that way again. It was "smoked" which I didn't realized until later, and I'm not a fan of that. Putting gravy on it helped, and putting tons of food on your fork at once did too! ;-) To say the least, we have TONS of leftovers! Guess what we'll be eating today...and tomorrow?!?!

Before we ate, I had Ethan and Natalie each say three things they liked about the other. They have been quite mean to each other lately, not just picking on each other but, mean!

Ethan's three: She's nice, she plays with me, and she helps me...like build stuff with Legos when I ask.

Natalie's three: He's nice to me, he loves me, and he helps me do things I cant do.

I thought they were pretty good things to like about each other, and they were a little nicer to each other for a few hours. I think they need a break or need to find a way to get some energy out...its just soooo cold already!

To all those crazy day after Thanksgiving shoppers, hope you got what you wanted and didn't get mauled too much by the crowds! I've been pretty much done shopping for weeks now (Roby and I aren't exchanging anything, and just a small thing or two needs to be picked up for the kids' stockings...I mean uhhhh to give Santa ideas!). And thought my morning would be better spent sleeping! :-) I know one friend of ours braved the evil store (Wal Mart) and got a 50inch tv!!! I'm curious to see how long he was there beforehand!

I think I'm going to go get breakfast, then possibly put the Christmas tree up. Better do it now before I get too busy with finals and our trip!!! (Fonda is going to stay at our house with Natalie and the dogs so we don't have to pay to kennel the dogs!!! )

It doesnt matter how much food you make, its all about the time spent together and the memories you make.

Good luck with your finals, you will do brilliant. I know, just trust me on this one.
