Like I said yesterday, Natalie was MVP for her class last week. Every day they did something special for her.
Monday was a day to bring two items to share with the class. Her teacher said to try and bring things original or unique to share that still says something about yourself. Natalie chose a lava rock Roby brought back from one of his trips to share about how her dad travels a lot and that he's in the military. The other item(s) she chose were some shells we found at Grandma Nan's when we visited three years ago. She told them how her family is from Washington and how Gma Nana and GiGi are visiting in one month!
Looking at one of her favorite shells.
Tuesday she read one of her favorite books to her class. She read Paper Bag Princess.
Wednesday was her "Lunch Buddy" day. When I asked Ethan if he would like to each lunch with her, I was almost expecting him to say he didn't really want to. Instead I got an enthusiastic (as enthusiastic as an 11 year old boy gets) "sure!" I was thrilled that I was able to go too!!! I was even more thrilled at Natalie's reaction when she saw I was able to go!
See, crossed eyes...
Later on Wednesday was her parent meeting for Brownies. She wanted to wear her vest, so I had to put the rest of the patches she got at the end of the year on.
Much bigger than last year!
Thursday Natalie's teach read a letter to her that Roby and I wrote telling her how proud of her we are and what we think is so special about her. I would share what we wrote, but I have a hard time knowing people are reading what I write about daily activities, let alone emotional stuff! :-) Friday she was supposed to get a certificate or price of some kind, but her teacher forgot and Nat wasn't feeling well so I picked her up early. Hopefully her teacher will remember on Monday.
Because the air show is this weekend, most of the airplanes and jets have been "practicing" since Thursday. Ethan loves seeing this and went out on our back porch to watch yesterday. Many of the jets would fly directly over our house, but I couldn't take a picture quick enough.

You can almost see the jet right above Ethan flying away.
Pretty close! I took a pic right before this and the landing gear was up, you can actually see it down in this pic. Kinda cool.
We have a lot to do this weekend, but we're planning on going to the airshow pretty soon! :-)

Sounds like a good week for Nat. I ADORE her little gray outfit, that is just too sweet. Im glad she had a good week as MVP. Sorry she wasnt feel well on Thursday.
She seems to be feeling a little better now. Probably because I told her that I wasn't going to take her to the air show if she was sick, I didn't want her to get more sick.
SHE chose her gray outfit! She was VERY proud of it too! :-)
