Natalie's Early Christmas Present

Just to warn you, this is just about the longest post EVER...But, considering the event, it is worth it. I should take Steph's idea and make a collage out of the pics, but I don't have time and am just trying to get things posted for now. :-)

So, Ethan, Roby and I already got our "big" Christmas presents...what can I say, we aren't good at waiting for things. A few days before the Miley Cyrus concert came to Omaha, Roby and I decided that it would be the perfect gift for Natalie. She is quite content with what she has, and doesn't really want much. She draws, sings, dances, plays with Polly Pocket, and likes pretty things. (Unlike Ethan who wants expensive video games, Legos, etc etc.) Roby ordered the tickets for her and I to go (floor seats!)...and we decided to keep it a surprise! My friend, Fonda, already had tickets for her and her daughter to go, but they had seats on the third floor. She ended up buying new tickets and selling the old tickets so that they could sit by us. The day before the concert, we found out that Miley had step throat and wouldn't be performing. They then said that the concert was rescheduled for October 13th. Ugh A Tuesday?!?! We'd have to go anyway! Of course the weekend before Natalie got a bit sick. With the fever, congestion and cough, I didn't want to chance sending her to school and getting worse. I kept her home...just in case (those tickets cost a LOT of money for a little girl!) When the 13th came around this is what happened:

She was a little excited!

We got ready, and headed to the concert!

Natalie and Nikole waiting for it to begin.

A big cheese with mom!

A big "thank you" from our fabulous daughter! :-) She was getting a tad excited!

Ok, now I have to tell you a little story about the next video. As I'm getting ready to post this, I had to figure out which video it was. So, I pressed play and let just the first couple seconds play. Roby thought I made the sound. So I had to show him the video. He was cracking up when he saw our daughter joining in the screaming before the concert began. (You may want to turn our volume down...)

The first performer was "Metro Station," Miley's older brother's band. It was not great, and not age appropriate. The girls weren't thrilled, but were still excited to be there, and danced to the beat (because you couldn't understand the words).

I love her smiles!

We were dancing!

This my friends is my FAVORITE picture from the night!!! They were having a blast!!!

Miley was starting to come on stage...she was just a little excited/star stuck/whatever you want to call it!

And a lot of pics of cute expressions because I am me and I can't help myself! :-)

Singing a song from an upcoming Nicholas Sparks movie she's in (The Last Song).

Another of my favorite pics!

I just thought these two pics were pretty cool.

And now for lots of videos. Nat was cracking me up with her singing of songs I didn't know she knew. Her excitement and smiles kept me smiling the WHOLE time! There was one song that Nat and I just rocked back and forth to with our arms around each other. It was great spending that time with her! No need to watch all of them if you don't want to, I know I went overboard, but it was worth it! :-)

This was one of Natalie's favorite parts...even though it wasn't a Miley song, it was still pretty darn cool!

This is some heart felt singing! ;-)

A good way to end the concert!

The concert started at 7:00 pm, so it was a bit past their bedtime when it was over. Nikole was asleep by the time we got on the highway, Nat was soon to follow.

I'd say they had a great time, and it was something that Natalie (hopefully) won't soon forget! If nothing else, it was great spending some time with my daughter! (Now to find something to do with Ethan...hahahaha)
