Ethan's Room -- Check!

Yesterday I finished Ethan's room! The kids have been sharing a room for quite some time now, and because Natalie's room is "usable" now...I figured I could completely set his room up! I put the rug down in her room, put her mattress on the floor, took all her stuff out, then went to work.

A crowded room.

This is how the kids spent the last month. And this was on a clean day!!! It was rarely this clean in there!!!

It amazes me how much I like it in there now! It looks so much more grown up!

I love his huge cork board too!

We didn't actually see his headboard until we got here. I really like it too! It matches his desk, and will grow with him really well!

We lost one of the pegs to his shelf, so we're going to look at the hardware store today to see if we can find a replacement.

The closet looks big, but its pretty shallow. Just deep enough for a hanger. I'm still not sure what to do with all his Lego and other bins of toys. They don't fit under his bed now, so they are currently stacked in the closet on one side. It might be where they will have to stay.

It still throws me off a bit how the hall goes at an angle, so the doors are at an angle in the rooms. I need to take a picture of the hall so its a little more clean than that explanation! :-)

Last night when he got into bed he told me that he's really happy and loves how his "new" room looks! Although we've lived here for over a month, it was the first time he's felt at home here I think. As of this morning, his room is already a disaster! ;-) He has Hot Wheel car track out all over the floor, but I guess that was the whole point in giving him his room back, so he could finally play with his stuff again!!!

* * * * * * * * * *

Thanks to those of you who have called or written words of encouragement or advice. It has really helped. In advance, I'll probably be stressed and will need a LOT more of it over the next two years. I was able to talk to Roby for about ten minutes yesterday. He got to where he was going safe and sound, and told me that we will figure out a way to make it work.

The money issue is never fun, but I'm not as worried about that... I'm sure we can find a way. I'm still really stressed about finding a back up system. I guess I have a few weeks/months to really work on it and figure things out.

Its going to be hard...very hard...

That room looks GREAT! I could see why he is so comfortable now and it shows even more when you say he is happily playing with is things again. This room turned out so good, I cant wait to see Nats room now and that strange angled hallway.
