Always Catching Up

This last week I finally went thought all the pictures that were waiting in Photoshop to see which ones to post. (I also finally burned pictures onto CD's from when I was visiting California and when Roby's sisters visited...now I just need to find a way to ship them safely.) There were hundreds to go through!!! As I started posting them, I discovered that they finally give you the option to "post-date" a post! Just so you know, I still have eight that will be posted automatically for the next eight days! I do still need to check my cameras to see if there are any more to go through!

Today is the last day of my summer vacation. I start two classes tomorrow. I'm hoping they will be fairly easy, especially compared to Anatomy and Physiology! BTW, I did get an A both quarters!!! I seriously wasn't sure if I would get that second A, but I spent hours and hours studying this summer...and really feel that I deserved it! I will be applying in January to a dental hygiene program at Iowa Western Community College...but as only 18 people get in a year (several of which applied the year prior), I'm not getting my hopes up for getting in the first year. I can take several classes next year, and maybe one or two to get an A instead of a B to boost my chances for my second year applying...if I still don't get in...then I'll have to figure something else out! (I am really hoping it doesn't come down to that!)

I have been sick almost the entire two weeks I've been off. I'm guessing that it all just caught up with me! I am finally getting a little better...but two nights ago I felt horrible!

The kids are really enjoying this school year so far! They have both had two spelling tests. Natalie is doing much better than I thought she would considering her teacher last year. And I am amazed at the words Ethan is being asked to spell! He is doing brilliantly!!! He is still struggling with reading, but doing so well with everything else I'm hoping time will help. He is talking about a lot more friends this year than he did at the end of last year, so that makes me feel a lot better too!

I was going to do a post about this last month, but we had company...and I was busy with school. As of now, we have lived in Nebraska for one year and one month. I can still hardly believe it. It has gone by extremely fast...and beyond slow at times. It hasn't been that bad...not my ideal place to live, but it could be so much worse! I don't like the summer here, and making friends as adults is always a long process. I DO love the winter (although negative 25 was pushing it!), am thankful that I can go to school, and that Roby won't have to deploy for six months from this base.

One last thing...well two. Today is one of my sisters-in-laws anniversary and another sister-in-laws sweet 16th birthday!!!

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better, that sucks that you spend your holiday being ill.

I hope the post date thing works for you, I tried it once but it didn't seem to post. Maybe I did something wrong, Ill try it out later.

I'm so proud of you with A&P, way to go. I started 2 coursed today as well, can we say STRESS! I am on the first day alone and I feel like they are demanding so much. Fingers crossed its just my lack of ambition. There is light at the end of the tunnel though and that's all that really matters.
