We are looking forward to torturing Ethan with these pictures when he gets older. That's what parents are for, right?!?!
This spring/summer Ethan has kicked his ball over the fence many...many times! We finally told him that after kicking it over three times, that was enough for that day. These pictures are after the third time.
My quote for this pic:
"Ethan looks at his ball longingly..."
"Ethan looks at his ball longingly..."

This is quite pathetic...guess it didn't work either huh. Nice try though, I give him kudos for all the effort.
We have neighbors whose soccer ball sometimes comes over our fence. They run to our front door, ring the doorbell and say, "Our ball came over your fence and is in your backyard."
At that point we close the door and go get the ball and throw it back over the fence to them. They appreciate that.
Once in asking a lot when I am in the middle of something. Twice is too much. I just won't do it then and when I have time I will get it and toss it back.
If you had a long bamboo fishing pole or a rod and reel and rig up something on the line, he could fish for it and might catch it.
