Christmas Eve -- Part Two

For Santa and His Reindeer

After finishing with the rest of bedtime routines, it was time to set the cookies (only two!), milk and Reindeer Chow out for Santa and his reindeer. The kids each chose one of the cookies they had decorated.

Just a little excited!!!

Emptying the Chow into a bowl so Santa could take it to the reindeer before he left.

As we were heading to bed, Ethan remembered that at his Christmas party one of the mom's gave them each a baggie with more reindeer food that would help them spot your house. So, we had to sprinkle this food in our yard!!!

Guess who got nominated for the job?! :-)

After Santa came, ready for the kids to see in the morning...

How exciting. We didnt get reindeer chow or guidance material, I might use this idea next year to give the kids though. Sounds fun and cute. What were both of these things made out of?

This is a new one for me. I think it is a good idea though. Your photos of the event are nice too.

SJS--The Reindeer Chow from Santa was a mix of cereal (small colorful flakes), and the one from school was oats with confetti mixed in so "the reflection of the moon could be seen waaaaay up in the sky" according to Ethan. Can you read the whole saying that went with the second one??? I can send it to you if not.

Mr. Lincoln--This was the first time we left anything other than a couple carrots for the reindeer...a new event for us too!!!
