I keep thinking about posting something, anything! But I keep feeling like I have too many other things to do.
My friend, Steph, came to visit ME last weekend! It was probably the most fun I've had in a REALLY long time! She pampered me, and we laughed a ton! I can't wait until I get a job so I can go visit her!
The kids are busy with school and friends. Nothing really new or exciting, but that's good sometimes!
Roby's coming and going all the time. Nothing new there either. Today he's hoping for the Steeler's to win their game tonight so they'll go to the Super Bowl!
On Friday three girls from my class and I went to a Legislative Breakfast (at 7am!) in Lincoln, Nebraska. There were students from other schools as well as registered dental hygienists. It was a great way to meet people and learn about what is going on around the state. We then went to the capital building to watch the legislators in action (we were also thanked for coming), and spoke with our individual legislator as well as others. There are currently two bills that we are very interested in. One that we don't want passed, the other we do. At 11:30 we went to the quarterly Nebraska Dental Hygiene Association meeting. We were encouraged to ask questions and learned a LOT. I was amazed at how 17 volunteer men (well, man) and women seem to be making the decisions for the all the dental hygienists in the state.
I was nominated by my program director to receive a scholarship from the Omaha Dental Association and won! (I have the fourth highest GPA in my class!) I'm not sure how much it is, but its an honor! I'll be receiving it on February 8th at a big dinner.
Oh, and I cut my hair super short again yesterday! haha
Other than that, I have pictures to post but no time. I have countless projects and busy work assignments to get done and...feel like there isn't enough time in the day. Soooooo...I suppose I should work on them now to attempt to get them done at some point!
111 days until graduation!
