Quick Update

My patient today was stationed in Germany a while back. He was in the 3d Armored Division with Elvis Presley! He said they had "many a conversation"! I thought that was pretty cool anyway. He seemed like a lonely old guy (like many of my patients are), and told me all about his life. :-)

Yesterday we had some nasty weather. There were several tornado warnings (warning=a tornado has been spotted visually or by radar; watch=the weather could produce a tornado). We had 1/4 to 1/2 inch hail, several inches of rain, crazy thunder, and 67 mph winds. The sirens went off for about ten minutes, but it passed pretty quickly. Just the start I'm sure.

I started my online class yesterday, so I have an extremely full load this summer. 5 and 1/2 weeks left of my regular semester, then another 2 or 3 weeks of the online class. I'm soooo ready for a break! Orientation for new students is Friday!!!

Roby got me my very first bicycle last weekend! I've ridden Nathan's hand-me-down bikes, and my mom's bike, and I'm sure I had a little one, but this is my first real bike! Roby, Ethan, and I went on about a two mile ride the day I got it. This evening Natalie and I went around our block a about ten times. It was the first time she had gone down a hill. After several minutes of freaking out, she finally went down and LOVED it! She even said she was a daredevil! (I promise, it is NOT a steep hill!)

I suppose I should read my pharmacology chapter because I didn't understand today's lecture at all...
