Friday night we decided to use our free tickets to go to a Lancers game! Every time they had been playing before, I was busy or Roby was gone. The kids ran and got their Lancers hats as soon as we told them!
CHEESE!
Last year when we went, they were playing at a rink in Council Bluffs, IA (where I go to school), this year they were playing in downtown Omaha. I guess this is where they used to play, but for some reason they switched for a while...I have no idea.
The mascot came around and was mauled by all the kids! I love Natalie's face! I forced Ethan to go with her! haha
The fans are HILARIOUS!!! One guy brings his own drums so he can bang on them LOUDLY during the whole game. One guy wears a fuzzy orange hat, team jersey that says, "CANDYMAN" and everyone knows him because he gives out candy to everyone. Others, like the guy in front of Nat, have free range to walk around with a flag and wear a helmet with a puck impaled in it! It is seriously entertaining!
We always have a blast going to the games, and its not something we do often. I really wish we would do it more often! Then again, there are tons of other things I wish we would do more often! ;-) I wish Roby could play hockey too! Regardless, it was a great evening, one that we all needed!

What a fun family night. Getting this time is important. It doesnt matter that you cant do this ALL THE TIME, in my opinion it makes the times you can that much more special.
Looks like you all had a really good time and what a great family thing. My dad & oldest brother are ADDICTED to anything & everything hockey =]
