Poor Roby...he's so excited!
The first appointments for us will literally be almost 8 hours long. The stuff they have us do will take us so long at first, the first four hour apt will be collecting the data required to even clean their teeth. I will review his medical and dental history, take his vitals, do a quick mouth mirror check with the instructor, an extra and intraoral examination, disclose to see any plaque, carries risk assessment, use the probe and explorer on his teeth, fill out a paper form, then do a full case presentation with the RDH and for their exam. Then the DDS will do an exam. That will most likely be the end of his first appointment.
When he can come back I will get to clean his teeth!
On Thursday one of my friends...friends is coming in, and on Friday Natalie will be my patient! I'm supposed to finish Natalie's apt because she shouldn't have much going on. We'll see how that goes! Not to mention she DOESN'T count as one of the seven I am required to finish this semester! Oh well, experience is experience! :-)
I'm excited, not getting too nervous yet...we'll see how I feel in the morning!
Ethan is at basketball now, so I'm going to study for oral pathology, then prepare myself for clinic later.

Wow, how exciting! Im sure it will be fun. No need to be nervous, just relax and go through the motions. You know what to do and having Roby as your first patient should be super relaxing. In theory...Good luck! I think Nat will be lots of fun too.
