Christmas -- Part 2

Ethan LOVES LOVES LOVES Nerf! He literally almost jumped up and down when he got this dart-tag Nerf set! I got him a different one (amazing!!!), and he was in heaven!

Natalie's FAVORITE toy lately has been Polly Pocket! That's pretty much all she's been asking for! She was very excited to get this set!

More Hannah, and you can NEVER go wrong with more Nerf darts!

I love their smiles!

Couldn't help but add this one too, Nat's expression cracks me up!

I was thrilled when they received books as gifts that they were just as excited as all their other gifts! Can you tell she was excited to get Pinkalicious and Goldilicious?!

Nat getting more books to the Ivy+Bean series and Ethan a world records book along with a couple more books to two series he likes to read.

Just a little excited?!

One of Ethan's BIG and favorite presents from us was "night vision goggles!" I put them on, and they are actually pretty cool! He's been running around the house (with all the lights off) playing with his Nerf guns!

Love the dimples!

Natalie got a Polly Pocket mall set!

Oops, I spoiled the surprise earlier (haha), Ethan getting his other dart tag set!

After opening these, they were content and didn't want to open anything else! ;-)

Ready to go!
(My favorite picture of the morning! Max looks worried!)

The dogs were spoiled too! Max enjoying a new toy!

I kept trying to get a picture of the dogs and all their new toys, but at least one of them was running around too fast the whole time. This is the best I got, because I wanted to eat breakfast!

Besides this one...I did it on purpose, but if you look at it long enough (or at all!), it may make you a little sick!

And this is what we woke up to Christmas morning...It had been snowing for about 24 hours at that point. I had literally 36 inches of snow blocking the back slider door. I measured it. That 36 inches was a snow drift, but it went a good four feet out onto the porch, and beyond that the snow was at LEAST a foot deep. It was super... Luckily, our neighbor that we rarely talk to used his snow blower on our ENTIRE driveway and sidewalk!!! I did have to shovel it though because snow didn't stop for almost four FULL days! I'm still sore.

See how tall it is back there by the fence? By the time is stopped snowing it was about a foot below the highest part of the fence.

Maggie knows how to keep warm! She found the BEST vent in the house and can be found there almost every time the heat kicks in! ;-) Suppose I should move the cords she's been using for a pillow!

The day after Christmas, the kids BEGGED to go shopping! We waited until afternoon so the streets would hopefully be cleared and the bargain shoppers would be back at home sleeping. The main roads weren't bad at that point, and the mall that we went to, Toys R Us, and Target weren't nearly as busy as I thought they'd be. They were VERY spoiled!!! Because of the amount of money they received, I told them they needed to use a specific amount on something they NEEDED or put it in the bank. Both chose BANK! Good choice! They got some REALLY cool things too! Ethan got Guitar Hero that he's been wanting for a LONG time, and more NERF stuff! Natalie went to Build-A-Bear (another post!), got Bendaroos, a small Nerf gun, and a bunch of Polly Pocket stuff! S P O I L E D!!! Thank you everyone!!!

So much fun! I really do adore their approciation and happiness, it is rare to find such grateful children. Even mine arent there very often. The dogs are cute but I should have taken warning on the Maggie photo. I havent eaten breakfast yet and am now feeeling quite queezy. AWESOME! LOL. Still cant believe you have so much freaking snow. I dont think I would be much of a NE girl really.
