A Random Few

I've been keeping busy with homework, packing, making sure everything is in order for buying the house, and the move. I have almost everything upstairs packed, besides the kids' rooms and what we will be using in the next three weeks. I left out some of the dishes, most of the cooking items, tools, towels, electronics, and clothes! (I'm leaving Roby's stuff for him because I don't know what he will need when.) I'm very proud of myself as we still have three weeks until we are moving! That is, until I walk downstairs and remember why I started so soon! The basement has become the "catch all" over the last year and will need some organizing before it can be packed up. Hopefully it won't be too bad...but it looks quite intimidating! Tomorrow the kids and I are going to tackle their rooms. It really shouldn't be too difficult as most of their toys are in plastic bins already.

A couple weeks ago I took the kids to get their eyes checked. I had never taken them, and figured it was about time. Natalie's teacher also thought it was a good idea because Nat seemed to be having a hard time reading...either that or she was just antsy! Turns out that Natalie is just slightly far-sighted and doesn't need glasses at all. Ethan has quite a bit of an astigmatism and could greatly benefit from reading glasses. He loves to read and I often seem him bringing the book closer to his face. We did end up getting him two pairs, but I think I need to take them back in as he said one pair makes everything look smaller while the other doesn't change how he sees things at all. I'm assuming that if the glasses are mainly to correct an astigmatism that they won't make the words much bigger/smaller (why would one pair make them smaller though???), but for the glasses to be doing separate things seems weird to me. When I took them to school, he asked if I could take a picture of his dilated pupils 'cause he thought it was cool and wanted to see what they looked like. The picture isn't good, but we didn't have much room in the office...

Crazy Eyed Ethan

Just a random picture of Maggie cuddling with her toy while I was doing homework.

Natalie got "gorgeous" press on nails for her birthday that she just had to have a picture of!

The flowers in our front walkway have really grown! I took this picture on March 24th! As of yesterday the tulips were blooming on at least five of them! The tulip stems are only about six inches, but they are really pretty! We are supposed to get several inches of snow tomorrow...I hope it doesn't kill them!

Natalie got a few more birthday cards after her birthday (I haven't loaded the other pictures onto my computer yet)! She was so excited to get them!

I love her expression in this last one!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
