Lancers

The weekend after Natalie's birthday, the girl from my class gave us a couple more tickets to see the Omaha Lancers for a good price. We couldn't say no! We all love hockey, and with so much going on (birthdays, moving, my stress about the interview), it was a much needed break from daily life. Natalie hadn't been to a game in almost two years, so didn't remember a whole lot about it, but was pretty excited to go!

Which is quite obvious from her expression! ;-)

Asking Roby something with a mouth full of popcorn.

Trying to see what was going on.

Ethan was having a blast!

The Lancers' mascot!

Ethan caught a small football that was thrown into the stands. (Although he lost it before we left.)

Laughing at the bird.

Waiting for the mascot to look their way.

Attempting to catch something else.

After the first/second period, Roby took Natalie to get her own Lancer hat. She was thrilled!!!

They won by two points!

Heading out of the arena.

They were so excited and retelling their favorite parts the first ten minutes home...then it got quite! She passed out!

I did take video of the mascot dancing during the breaks. Natalie thought it was hilarious! I lover her laugh in one of the videos! At one point she even asked me, "Why he was dancing like a girl?!?!"

He does have some skills though, if I tried to do any of that, I would fall on my face!

As the Lancers came back out.

It was a lot of fun and something I hope we can do more of next year! I believe they are in the playoffs right now, I'll have to ask her in class on Wednesday.

This was great. Okay so the dancing was pretty funny but Nats laugh had me rolling. What a great thing to do as a family.
