Ethan's Holiday Performance

Earlier this week the fourth grades put on a Holiday Performance. They started learning how to play the recorder this year, so incorporated that as much as possible (with the three notes they know).

Right when he found us after getting to his place.

Waiting patiently.
(The kid in front of him blocked his face pretty much the whole time...)

Playing a song.

Now for the videos! Lots of videos!

"Christmas In Any Language"

"Fum Fum Fum"

"An Old-Fashioned Holiday"

"Sleigh BAG"

"Red and Green"
The first time around Ethan's and one of the other classes sang while the third class played the recorder. The second time around they switched.

"The Holly and the Ivy"

"We Wish You a Swingin' Holiday"

First chorus.

Second chorus.

Third chorus.
Ethan was very excited for this! His class was chosen to continue doing the "scat" part while the other two classes sang the words.

You would think that after nearly six years of watching performances I would be used to it by now. But every time, at some point, I still get tears in my eyes and am extremely proud of my kids! Even watching the videos at home has gotten me a little choked up! It still amazes me how quickly they grow and become their own people! :-)

I love the pictures at the beginning and how happy he got when he saw you were there to watch. The videos are cute, I bet it was an adorable show. They did really well.
