Another morning of happy kids is always a good thing! There is something about this time of year that just makes us all smile. (That and I'm not in school, so the stress level is waaaay down!)
I asked Natalie how many days are left until Christmas. She does well in school, even in math and reading now that she has a competent teacher...but she still has a hard time recognizing any number with a "1" in front of it. I'm not sure why, or how to help her (I've tried flash cards many times)...I'm sure she will figure it out sooner rather than later! This morning she said "50" at first, so I told her to count and figure it out. Within five seconds she said:
A while ago Roby and I were watching a reality show, maybe a comic contest??? On the show there was a guy named "Pickle." Since then, we have called Ethan...Pickle! He says he doesn't like it, but he fully answers to it and always smiles or giggles when we do it. This is not something we do in front of his friends and stuff, but more at home or when we are teasing him. This morning I told him that I was going to make him a "pickle pie" for his birthday! I know, I'm weird! (After seeing this picture...I'm not so sure anymore!!!)
Our smiling PICKLE!
