A couple weeks ago there was a pow-wow at one of my schools campuses. My sociology teacher said that if we went we could get five points extra credit. Its not much, but every little bit helps! I also thought it would be cool for the kids to see, so driving the 30 minutes had two purposes! When we got there they had just finished a contest, so there wasn't much going on. The next "performance" wasn't for another hour and a half. We walked around and watched a little dancing before heading home. It was quite hot that day, and we were all thankful for a/c! Nat fell asleep about half way home. She doesn't do this as much as she used to...awww they are growing up!!!
Last week she stayed home from school on Monday. She just wasn't feeling great. The next day she had a big packet of work to do! It always surprises me how much they do every day in class!

Lovely photos. I like the homework type picture.
We have our youngest child living back with us now (she is 35) and her daughter, Audrey, (now 8) (granddaughter) and she is going to our Brookville Elementary School this morning.
A traumatic experience, changing schools, but she is a cute kid and was popular at her old school so I think she will fit it fine and it won't take her long to get acquainted.
I rode my bike yesterday and she followed on her smaller bike and as I pulled away, her mom said she was all smiles at her grandpa and told her mom, "He's awesome!"
Wow.
Anyway...
Glad you got the camera and I know you will like it for all the reasons I gave you originally. It has more features than the one you wanted and I am really pleased to learn you used the savings to get an additional lens.
I will tell you about magnifying lenses that screw onto the regular lens like a UV filter. They are cheap and really work on close-ups. Get a 2x and 4x at least. I think they are less than $5.00 each at most camera stores. They just give you that many times closer when screwed onto the lens that came with your camera -- 18-55mm.
She is growing up, its crazy!
