Pomegranates are something most people don't usually buy. There are a lot of products we can buy that have pomegranate in them, but they are a chore to get into for such a small amount of fruit. When I was grocery shopping a couple weeks ago I decided that we should experience opening a fresh pomegranate at least once (I remember eating these a couple times growing up...but it has been a while!). The kids were quite intrigued by what it was! Natalie said it looked like an apple while Ethan thought it looked more like an onion. When we found time to open them up and try them, I actually had to look online at the best way to do it!
It was fun to eat something new...but I'm not sure if I'll be buying any more of these in the near future!

Are those seeds in water? I have never opened one like that before. Call me ghetto but we peel/tear into it like an orange and work our way through just eating the fruity seedy part as we go. What is the water for?
Funny thing, I just saw those at the commissary the other day and thought I should buy some again. Its been quite a while since I have eaten one. Do you think they'll grow in Vegas?
