ALL My Kids

AN UPDATE: Yesterday morning when I got up at 6:30 to take Maggie out Ethan came in and said that he was all itchy. When I looked at him, I was shocked. He was covered head to toe with a red rash. His face and neck were worst--his eyes and ears were slightly swollen. I made him appointment for two hours later then checked out possible reactions to the antibiotic he was taking for his (first ever) ear infection as well as different kinds of rashes. I thought it was more likely a reaction to the Augmentin, as its in the penicillin family (I'm allergic as well as several other people in my family). The nurse was freaking out when she saw him thinking it was Fifths Disease, but it turns out I was right. The build up of Augmentin in his system caused the reaction...not threatening unless it gets worse, but not pleasant at all. Not only that, but the cough he's had for the last 16 days has turned into pneumonia. So...he's on a different antibiotic for the pneumonia (the ear infection is gone), Benadryl for the rash, and Motrin as needed for the fever. He is NEVER sick, but man is he now. (Hopefully on the mend!!!)

When my camera broke, I was lucky enough to get it replaced (because we had it insured before we moved). When I got the replacement camera I was able to get a lens that I had been wanting for a long time. Its focal length is set at 50mm, which as far as I know (and I don't know that much yet) makes everything in front and behind that focal point blurry. Last weekend I was having fun playing with the lens. I took some random pictures of things in our house (that are probably only entertaining to me so I won't post them!), then a couple of Maggie, the kids, and Max.

She's becoming a pretty good puppy!
(You can see how its more blurry behind the focal point--her face--compared to other pictures.)

She likes her bed!

Cuddling with Natalie.

(I think that because I was a little farther away from the "subject" more was in focus...but I'm not sure!)

I love his expression...like its a new thing I'm taking a million pictures of them! ;-)

Max is a FABULOUS dog!
I love ALL my kids!!! ;-)
