To bring in the new year we invited our neighbor and her daughter over and let the kids stay up (I think for the third time). I made some rockin' cheese burgers and homemade salsa (which I couldn't eat 'cause I was so full from the burger!). The kids had a lot of fun playing and watching movies. Natalie and Nikole (also in kindergarten) came in to ask many times if it was "New Years yet?!?!"
Right before midnight we opened some party poppers that had little toys and a paper hat inside.
Finally, the countdown!!!

This was the first time Ethan and Natalie have been able to see the ball drop in New York. Being in Germany, 6 hours ahead of NY, you don't exactly have the option of seeing it on TV! They were very intrigued by this and asked tons of questions about it. Yesterday when Grandpa Bob called to wish us a happy New Year, Natalie even asked him if he was, "outside where the New Years Ball went down?"
