Old News

Roby has been traveling a lot the last year and a half. He has gone all around the world, seen countless amazing things, as well as endless hours sitting in a truck watching the jet run at a stateside base. In May 2009, the E-4B he works on was escorting the Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, around the world. While in Singapore something broke that they didn't have the parts to fix. Roby was asked (aka told) to fly commercial with the parts. I was nervous for him to do this, especially with a bunch of electrical parts with him! He got there safely, helped fix the problem so Mr. Gates could finish his trip. In May this year Roby was on the trip (that literally went around the world!), luckily it had no big problems!

I keep wanting to share this, but keep forgetting. Here is a link to just one of the articles written about Mr. Gates' trip (that Roby saved the day on!). Here is a link to an article written in January about the E-4's 35th anniversary in service.

I'm beyond proud of Roby for all he does and extremely thankful that he works so hard to take care of us.
