Yesterday was my last day working at the base clinic. I had a lot of great patients, I'm kind of sad we won't be going there anymore (until next semester). At the same time, that means we are more than 1/4 through with the semester already! Its the little things that matter!
When I went to introduce myself to my patient after lunch I told him my name and that I'm a dental hygiene student at Iowa Western. This is something I tell all my patients. Most start asking questions and are really nice. This guy literally backed up a step and said, "A student? I specifically asked to NOT see a student. I don't have time for that. I'm going to go back out to the waiting area and you can figure something else out." Seriously. It was great. (That was sarcasm if you couldn't tell.) I told one of the people helping us, she promptly gave him a hard time and found one of the worst technicians to clean his teeth. Again, its the little things.
When I got out last night I listened to a message from my Patient Care Coordinator telling me that the patient I had scheduled for tomorrow for my skills test canceled. They have to have our permission to put a patient in for a skills test, and when I tried to call back to ask them to put anyone in, no one answered any of the numbers I called. My skills test isn't until 1:00, so I'll try to get someone. Roby already offered to come in if I can't find anyone. I looooove him!!!
To top the day off, I had the worst migraine I've had for months.
As I was tucking the kids in, Ethan was telling me all about his "really good day." I loved hearing all about it! He asked me how my day was and I told him it wasn't that good but that tomorrow should be better. He said, "I know it will be, do you know why? Because you're awesome!" Looooove him too!
Today IS going to be better!

I've seen a couple music videos made by these people, they are creative to say the least! When I saw this one I thought I'd share!
This was the second one I saw that they made. The first one I saw is a traedmill one, cool, but these two are better! :-)
