Skate Time

Ethan has been really into skateboarding all summer. Now that one of his friends who also skates is back from his dad's, he has been skating even more. He's been calling Uncle Nathan to talk about skating and whatnot, as well as looking at his videos on his blog. Uncle Nathan suggested he look up videos on how to ollie to help him learn. All day Friday, Saturday and Sunday Ethan has been watching videos and practicing for 10-30 minutes at a time before coming in to watch again/tell me what he's doing/or get a drink of water.

He took the next two pictures of his skateboard to send to Uncle Nathan (sorry I didn't send them, but you can see them here!).

He said he liked the second one better. :-)

When he came back inside to give me back my camera he told me to smile for a picture! haha

Yesterday after lunch I took some video of him practicing. You probably can't hear it much because of the wind, but every time he would fall off or make his board do something weird he would giggle. Very cute! I'll take more video as he progresses!

At the end he says, "This is fun." :-)

Just before dinner Natalie asked Ethan if he would show her how to skateboard. He told her to put her helmet on and they went out front.

Ethan got a call, a car was coming, and I called them in for dinner. They went back out after they ate.

I start my fourth semester (of five) today! I'm not ready to go back, I almost think it would have been easier if it was a shorter break. Oh well, only 263 days until I graduate!
