Now that I posted pictures from last years air show, I figured I may as well post pictures from yesterday before I feel like it's too late again!
Roby was here this year, so we headed over around noon. I don't know what time it started, but there were TONS of cars and the planes were already flying. We parked extremely far away, then instead of taking a shuttle bus that was offered to us, we walked. I swear it was at least two miles. It was over 90 with the heat index plus a ton of humidity. I wasn't wearing shoes for that either...by the time we got there I was hot, sweaty, and feeling dizzy. We even had water to drink! I'm not used to being out in the heat...I'm a wienie I know! Nat was complaining too, so I wasn't alone!
When we got there we walked around and went in a jet the kids hadn't been in before. Then we got some corn dogs and found a place to sit. After the corn dogs we had to get snow cones! Yum!

Ethan drinking some of his melted snow cone.
We see lots of airplanes of all shapes and sizes living near air force bases, but I only seem to see this guy at air shows.
A few more jets...I never know what they're called, I have to ask Ethan or Roby (but Roby left this morning and Ethan is still at his friends house).
A fly-by of two jets that they do to celebrate 50 years of flying in the air force...or something. :-)
When we decided to leave around 3:30, we...walked the whole way back to the car. Ugh I asked Roby why he liked to torture me, he said it was good exercise. True, torture all the same! ;-)
Roby got home on Wednesday from Alert, and left this morning for a trip. After this trip I think he will be home for a while!
