The kids have been asking me for over a week if it was time to start the countdown until Christmas! FINALLY today we could start!!! We have our usual snowman and German tree with little ornaments...but I also got two Advent calendars that I got on clearance at the end of the season last year!!! I think the kids were a little more excited about these ones! :-)
Natalie's Advent calendar is a Barbie one. It has "accessories for you and Barbie!" Today Natalie got a pretty pearl bracelet for her!

Ethan's is a Lego City countdown! Today he got a Santa and a fireplace! Very cool and important things to have!!!
I'm not sure what the rest of the days will bring (I'm sure they won't ALL be as exciting), but they loved their little surprises today!!!

I most likely won't post these pictures every day...and we'll be gone for four days, so they'll get to open several days when we get back...but I think they are fun to post every now and then!

I asked one of my instructors if they had anything I could use tomorrow, when talking to the Girl Scouts, that had big teeth so I could talk to them easier about brushing. She was very excited for me and let me borrow this guy:
I was hiding him from Natalie because I wanted him to be a surprise! He's a purple dinosaur puppet with BIG teeth! There is also an over sized toothbrush to use! I think I'm a little excited now!

And, ummmm, I got a 92% on my final today!!!! :-) I'm just a little excited about that one! It was a hard one and the class average on it was 86%!

Santa and a fireplace hey...you wouldnt me counting down by any chance are you? Most of the toy advent calendars are more like a count up to calendar. Just saying. Have fun I would love to hear what all the kids get. J is now wondering why I am such a slacker and have not gotten our kids another toy advent calendar...d'oh guess I wasnt on top of that as much as I had planned.
hahaha Yup!!! They started at 24 'cause I didn't know!!! I asked if they wanted to start at 1 and they said "No 'cause it was a count down until when Santa came!" Opps! Now we know! :-)
