Before Roby went on this last trip (so a week and a half ago...) the kids' school had pumpkin night. We paid $1 dollar per pumpkin and they provided all kinds of decorating supplies to decorate our pumpkins (they did ask for donations...although I couldn't find anything to send in...we are still having a hard time finding things for some reason). We took Ethan's friend, Tristan along as his mom was out of town for work so he was spending the night. We got there, chose our pumpkins and got to work.
The boys didn't have a plan, they just jumped in with painting.
Nikole and Fonda had already been there for a bit by the time we got there. The girls had to plan things out a little more before committing to anything.
Roby got bored just sitting there, so he decided to make his a mouse, with LEGS!
Natalie thought this was just about the coolest thing EVER!
Natalie's finished pumpkin. LOTS of decorations (we had to tell her to leave some for everyone else!).
The kids had fun, and we had fun trying to carry all those pumpkins home in the car while they were still WET! Now that TODAY is Halloween, we are going to actually carve the pumpkins we bought when we tried to take the kids to the pumpkin patch. That was not a successful trip. We got most of the way there, then because of construction, we were at a standstill for a good half hour about 10 miles from the pumpkin patch. We decided that a two hour wait just to get there was not worth it. We went to the grocery store instead...
Happy Halloween!!!
