Roby is putting up a small clothesline in the basement so I have more room to line-dry the many clothes of mine that need to be line-dried. And I can dry a few other things just so I'm not drying them! :-) I have a small drying rack, but its always full! I think I need to get a sweater drying rack as well...exciting I know!
He also taught Ethan how to use a slingshot! Ethan saw it in the basement when we were figuring out where to put the clothesline, and Roby handed it over. A little while later, Ethan came in wondering why everything he shot just plopped a couple feet away. Roby promptly grabbed it and shot a rock over the house across the street. Ethan asked where it went, Roby told him...Ethan had an evil/amazed giggle. He is now at a little dead end that has a big open field for free range slingshot practice! I can't wait to hear what he breaks first...hopefully it doesn't cost too much. UGH
The kids and I went through their closets this morning as well. They have their open house this afternoon and start school TOMORROW!!! I can hardly believe it! Last night when I was tucking Natalie in, she said, "Momma, I'm nervous about going to a new school."
Me: I'm nervous to start school too. Its normal, and ok to be nervous.
Nat: Really? What are YOU nervous about?
Me: Meeting new people. Going to new classes, a big new school and all the work I'm going to have to do.
She smiled real big and we talked a little more about it how it was going to be the same in some ways and different in others. I think it always helps a little to let them know that even adults get a little nervous (upset/sad/excited/etc) at times.
And now I'm off to do more laundry so I can get the kids ready for school tomorrow and get some reading done...I still have SO much to do!

Tomorrow?! So soon? That is both exciting and sucks. You know, cause summer vacation is coming to an end and we all have normal lives to get back to. I hope the kids have a great last day of summer holiday.
WOW, I can't believe school starts tomorrow! My Wmom was telling me today that the kids start in 2 weeks and I thought that was soon. Good luck tomorrow with kids, I'm excited to see the new pictures =]
