Commenters on this video are kind of harsh, but as one person said, you do what you're taught! And I never knew you could open a banana this way! So, for the rest of you who were taught to open a banana at the stem like I was, here's some help! I thought it was funny anyway! :-)
*Ok, so the video I had linked to this was taken down a few hours after I posted it...pretty much it was a guy showing you to pinch the bottom of the banana (not the stem end) and it splits open super easy! No gouging your fingernails into the stem, no knives or teeth! lol I forced the kids (and myself) to eat bananas for our next meal as I wanted to try it, and it works just like he said! Man, sometimes you feel pretty dumb for doing something the hard way for so long! ;-)
And its just a banana! I'm easily amused! :-)
