I was up until 1:30 am last night working on unpacking and moving things around. Its slowly coming together. I'm getting frustrated with painting Natalie's room...but need to get back in there and just finish it up (regardless of imperfections) so the kids can have their own rooms again. We have sorted through almost all the boxes in the garage and have figured out which ones belong in the house and which ones need to go in the "to be sorted" area in the basement. This is something that I would have liked to have done as we brought them in the house, but at this point, getting the garage usable and doing the sorting at a slower pace is a must. I'm more interested in getting the kitchen fully usable, our rooms functional, as well as the rest of the house! I know everyone wants pictures...I'm trying my best! I think that if I keep working hard today and tomorrow, I'll feel a lot better about sitting on the computer for a couple hours sorting through pictures to post. But for now, I'm going to share the (already organized and resized) pics I had to use for my online Digital Photography portfolio. Not all the pics are fabulous, and I certainly don't love them all...I didn't learn as much in that class about Photoshop Elements as I hoped. But I still enjoyed it and did learn some!
The requirements of the portfolio were to include the pictures from our very first assignment (I think this was just to show our progress), 3 of our favorite or best photographs from each assignment following (I didn't include a portrait assignment), one of the two specific Elements projects we did, six new photographs we took during the semester and a self portrait. We made these into a Power Point and had to write a little something about what we liked/didn't like or what we learned.

Assignment Two
Sharing our lives, without showing ourselves (these were the only pics I had of the kids in that assignment, but they were my favorite pics!).
This was one of the Photoshop Elements assignments we did. He told me that it looked rushed and uneven. Ummm, I agree. I looked for about an hour for my external hard drive. When I couldn't find it, I decided I had to use pictures that were on my computer. After spending another two/three hours trying to figure out how to do the assignment (because the book was no help whatsoever!), I threw this together. I don't think it looks horrible, but it could have looked a lot better. Whatever.
