Until five months ago when I cut eight inches off Natalie's hair off, we put it in cute pig tails, braids, or some other creation every day. After getting it cut, she has wanted to wear it down every single day. The only time I make her wear it up is when she is having a really bad hair day, if we are doing something "active," or if its windy. On Thursday, I figured she was about due for a trim, and while we were there I thought it would be nice to give her a little bit of a style because she wants to wear it down all the time! She wanted to cut it to her shoulders...but almost every little girl in her class has it that short or shorter, and I love her hair. So, I suggested long layers, and the hair stylist (that also does my hair) suggested framing her face as well.
Just sitting down in the BIG chair! A very excited Natalie! I think this was only her third time getting her hair done at a salon.
I love how that little bit of change helps her hair lay down so much nicer...but makes her look so much more grown up!!! She loves it and I guess that's what matters!

I LOVE it too! And it does make her look quite grown up. Whats up with hair, how can something so simple make such a big change in our appearance and attitude. As well as the way people percieve us...I am percieving an adorable "girl" not "big girl" or "little girl" but just girl. A total CHICA!
