After cake it was time for presents! Because the kids were already going crazy in Ethan's room...and most people brought cards, we had him open them in there.
He was very good at reading all the cards before acknowledging the "gift" inside the card.
(This is when the batteries in my external flash died.)
Seems that they are getting a little old to sit still very...or be interested in what someone else is getting for their birthday.
Then again, Roby was "balloon fighting" along with them!
We let them hang out, play basketball on the door basketball hoop, and play video games until about 10:30. Then we made popcorn and put a movie on.
I fell asleep on the couch around 11:45. Because Roby works nights, he's usually up pretty late anyway...but that doesn't mean the kids need to be up all night! He said that the last time he had to ask them to settle down was around 1:30. One of the boys said, the next morning, that he didn't fall asleep until almost 4 am!!!
