After School -- Natalie

Last Thursday I grabbed my camera on the way to pick the kids up as I figured it would be a great opportunity to take pics for class because the weather was so nice!

I've been wanting a picture of Natalie hugging her teacher after school for a while, but always feel kind of silly with my camera in hand. I tried once before, but there were other kids in the way.

Almost a clear shot!

Playing on the swing in the sun! (It was 50 degrees that day!)

I don't know how those kids can spin for so long! I always got sick so quickly!!!

Winding up.

Love the smile!

All her friends went home, so we went to see what Ethan was doing.

In mid sentence about the boys playing basketball (I'll post those pictures tomorrow and Saturday).

This expression just cracks me up. So serious.

Caught in mid stride.

She asked if she could play at the park a little longer before going home. Because of the nice weather, I agreed. Too bad she was all pouty because she didn't have anyone to play with.

I showed this one in class the other day. I like how she's in shadows and her expression and posture matches the "glumness" of it, while you can see the sunlight around her. My teacher agreed that those were good things, but thought that it would be a better photograph if it wasn't "cropped" so much. Having more of the playground/houses/etc would make it more interesting.

Again, I just love her expression!

Pointing to some squirrels.

She asked me to take a picture of her going down the slide. I forgot to change the setting on my camera, so I got this. She still liked it!

Being silly!

Getting ready...

Acting like she was terrified!

I LOVE that picture of Natalie skipping down the side walk....and the one from today of your son grinning. Its so fun to capture the true JOY of childhood.

Happy Valentines Day!
