Shoveling Snow

We've had a little snow on the ground for a while now. Thursday night we got about 1/4 of freezing rain. There was no school Friday because of it, and Ethan asked if he could shovel. Um...OK!!!

Before he went outside he said, "I bet dad will be so happy that I did some of the shoveling when he gets up so he won't have to!"

He had a bit of a hard time getting to the snow under the ice. There were a few times that he got on his hands and knees and pushed chunks of frozen snow off the sidewalk.

Starting by the house.

He was out there for a couple hours. Roby and I asked him many times if he wanted to come in yet. Most of that time Max was sitting by the front door watching him out the window.

Eventually I let him go see what Ethan was up to. He was very excited and didn't want to come back in!

Happily telling me how much he had done.

He looked so cute and proud of himself out there! I seriously think he was having fun too!!! What a nut ball!

What a great kid he is! He does dishes and shovels snow, seriously I want to borrow him. Does he come with an hourly wage? Love you Ethan, you are awesome.
