Natalie's Christmas Party

Instead of trying to go to both of the kids' Christmas parties, I told them I would go to Natalie's, then go to Ethan's Valentine's Day party. This way I can be there for the eating, as well as the activities. I got to Nat's class a little early to help set up while the kids were in PE.

All the kids were very happy to see treats and pizza on their desks.

Showing me a Christmas tree brownie.

One of the first activities was painting. The "Room Mom" suggested painting trees, but encouraged the kids to paint whatever they wanted.

She wanted to wash her hands every time she got a little paint on her hands!

She painted people instead of a tree.

The whole class having a great time!
(I honestly wouldn't send her to school with those shoes and her socks showing like that!!! ;-) She wore knee high boots that day, so took shoes to change into--which she didn't change when she got back...she was too excited!!!) )

Very happy with how her person looked after she poured glitter on.

Her first one had a big red present next to it!

After painting, there were a few games the kids could play. I was in charge of a stocking game, so couldn't take many pictures.

The first one Nat played involved opening various candies with 9 fingers. (The thumb on one glove was tied off so they couldn't use it.) It was surprisingly entertaining watching them attempt this! After a minute, they all got the hang of it!

Cheese! She freed a Starburst and was ready to eat it!

This was the first time in a while that I've been in one class for a whole party. I think she had a great time, and Ethan did too! He made a really cute gumdrop ornament...I'll have to take a pic soon! It was very handy that they had their parties on Thursday, as there was no school Friday because we got at least 1/4 inch of ice the night before!

The party looks like fun and I am so glad it was Thursday! If all parties had to be missed b/c of ice that would be terrible. I hope all the class parties were Thursday.
