More Space

While Roby was on his last "alert" trip, I decided to get rid of our particle board computer desk! The only reason for it (because we don't have a desktop computer anymore) was to put the printer/scanner on as well as piles and piles of papers. I have been trying to de-clutter since moving here, and that desk was a huge obstacle for me. It took me about ten days to go through, reorganize, shred papers, and find new places for everything. (It would have taken just three or four if my back wasn't hurting so badly!) Getting rid of the desk opens that room up so much! Its a large room anyway, but having everything packed in there just made it seem even more cluttered! (When Maggie is fully potty trained, we can put the rug back in there too!)

When Christmas is over, the coffee table (by the bookshelf) will be put back in the front room and I will have room to bring my great-grandma's sewing desk back upstairs!

I really like how it feels in there; open, clean, almost calming! Now if I could just get it to stay that way! ;-)
