Natalie's Field Trip -- Part One

Last month I was able to go with Natalie on her classes field trip. I showed up about fifteen minutes before we were set to leave. As I was sitting waiting for instructions, her teacher started reading a book. And the whole class repeated what she said! I keep forgetting to ask Nat if this is a regular thing, but I'm assuming it is. Its a great way to get the kids to pay attention and calm down without them knowing it!!!

I captured part of it with my little camera!

Because I was a designated chaperone, I had four kids that I was responsible for. There was no agenda, just exploring the Omaha Zoo! (Just so you know, one of the kids in my group threw up and another cried about half the time we were there!)

On the bus, leaving the school. She was just a little excited!

Our first stop was the aquarium! I love the penguins!

A bubble for the kids to get a better look.

I think everyone loves the shark walk!!! Its always fun to watch the sharks and other fish swim so close to you!

This is my favorite picture from that day! I love her expression and the turtle looks amazing!

A closer look.

In the butterfly garden.
She is very intrigued by the wall paintings in the Desert Dome.

Under the Desert Dome is a swamp-like area. It has alligators, beavers, bats, and all kinds of creepy crawlers!
Nat was a bit scared because it was so dark and she wasn't sure what to expect.

Cautiously checking out the alligators.
Stay tuned for the rest of her field tip pics tomorrow!
