Getting In The Spirit

I very much enjoy this time of year. I love the feeling of family, the happiness, the decorations! :-) Every year I start getting Christmas stuff out the weekend after Thanksgiving. I have our tree upstairs, put together, but not yet "fanned out" or decorated. I'll probably get to that tomorrow and we can start stringing popcorn before we put the ornaments up. I'm feeling a bit minimal lately, so probably won't put out all the trinkets we have. But there are a few that the season can't do without!

When everything was on clearance last year, I got a few things to make a wreath. I'd seen several with glass ornaments. They looked simple, yet very pretty. So...I wanted to try and make one for less than 1/4 the cost. I did that tonight. I don't think it looks as nice as the ones I'd seen...but its not bad for a first try I guess. It does have lights on it, and I think it would help the overall look a lot...but I haven't figured out how to light it when its hanging on the door.
