Ethan: I'm mean to Natalie sometimes because she annoys me and I forget to use my words.
Natalie: Mom, I think I'm the bestest skipper in our whole house!
Yesterday, when they were playing outside, Nat was taking a drink from her water bottle. Ethan decided to throw his big blue ball at her face...blood, an ice-pack and lots of tears later Ethan got in a bit of trouble. Right after he did it, he quietly walked into his room and sat on his bed until we came in to talk to him...he knew what was coming! Ugh, kids!
A mom of one of the kids in Natalie's class goes in several times a week. Last week she told me that while there were several boys being rowdy around Nat she continued to do her work. This surprised me as she is such a social little thing, I thought she would likely join in! Just yesterday, the same mom complimented Natalie on how neatly she writes! I love hearing compliments about my kids!!!
When Ethan went to the dentist to get sealants put on, the dentist and assistant seemed surprised at how well he followed directions, kept his mouth open, and didn't complain about a thing! A couple years ago he was wrestling with max and chipped his bottom front tooth. The filling fell off almost immediately after he got it. The dentists on base in Germany said there was nothing more they could do unless we wanted to get it filled every month or two. Ethan doesn't complain about much, but he has randomly complained about sensitivity to hot and cold on that tooth. When I told the dentist here about it, he suggested that they put a sensitivity coating on it. It may or may not help, but it was worth a try! As of five minutes after it was covered, it was no longer sensitive to cold. I'm hoping that it will really help him! (Even if it only lasts a couple months, its better than nothing...and cheaper than getting a composite filling just as often!) The dentist did mention that when he gets a bit older it would probably work better to get a veneer on, but at his rambunctious age its not worth it.
