Last Day Of School

Ethan and Natalie finished this school year in mid May. It was on a day that I had to be at school at 8, so Roby took a couple pictures as they were leaving for school.

For some reason, she insisted that it was cold enough for her jacket!

Last day in the kindergarten line!

When I got out of school I got them a little "last day of school present."
(That and I was tired of Ethan always grabbing the big water gun and thought Nat should have a fair shot!)

I got to pick them up and had to take a pic of Nat with her teacher.
He was very excited to start summer vacation!
(Ethan's class was allowed to bring a board game that day.)

They are so stinkin' cute!!!

Loving the surprise!

For some reason, Ethan's teacher gave him (and a few other kids) some science experiment gear.

Nat wanted to try it on too!

It still boggles my mind that they are going into fourth and first grades!!! How does the time fly?!?! They both did really well in their grades...although both need to work on reading. I don't know if Natalie will have a harder time with this (like Ethan does), or if its due to the lack of her teachers experience (it was her first year teaching). Either way, we are reading some each day, and I hope that will help! Natalie read the first 32 pages of "Green Eggs and Ham" last night, and only needed help with a few words!!! Ethan and I started reading the first Harry Potter last night too!

Why is it the kids are happy as hell on the last day of school and I always find myself crying? I'm such a sap.
