The End Of "G" Week

The day that I help out in Nat's class changed to Fridays. The time is the same and they are doing the same activities, just a different day of the week. Today Natalie's group was at the table that I was helping with. They were using colored glue to paint pictures. There was a poem at the bottom that had to do with Gooey Glue, but I can't remember it now. When she brings it home I will try to remember and post it.

Her painting was of her and Ethan playing outside...of course there were lots of flowers and even a butterfly!

Half way through her painting she was called over to "small group reading" where they practiced their "wall words" and read a "sight word" book. They were each given a photo copied version to bring home.
Then on to "G" activities before getting ready for recess.
I like being able to see some of the things she is doing in class. It is reassuring to know there is some structure and actual learning going on! ;-)

These are cute. It is so reassuring to see that the classroom is productive and structured. Although to be honest the only classroom I be disappointed with is S's last year. I havent heard or seen anything like it.

Elissa,
It is so nice to see you and your family. You and Roby are such good parents. I am very proud of you!

Very nice photography of this special time in life.

This old man's post brought tears on this Veteran's Day but not because I am a Korean War era veteran.
