Because of scary people on the internet I am going to start saving older posts to my computer, eventually to disk, then taking them off the internet. I will probably leave a couple months up at a time, but I am not comfortable with just anyone out there having access to years and years of pictures of my family.

Just want to let you know that I plan to work on my computer this weekend and copy some of those pics. So hope you don't move them until after this weekend, please?

I think this is a very good idea. I hope its not to much work and I think having entries on disk will be neat for you to look at later on. I love looking back at last years posts. Talk about changes!
I don't think you are wrong to do this. I do it myself. I get people upset at me but I have months of photos online. So I take them off and only keep one month at a time online. I put them on my website which not many people visit. I also keep them on a CD and DVD. It is a smart thing to do.
