Ethan's First Speech

Tomorrow Ethan will give his first ever speech in class. He was telling me all kinds of things his teacher said about how to give a speech; stand up tall, keep eye contact, talk slow enough for your audience to understand you, slowly look around at your audience, try not to fidget, and several more. I was seriously impressed! The only time someone told me those things was in my college speech class! He has been practicing all afternoon, so I thought it would be fun to record it and let him (and all of you) watch! I'm proud of my big man!!!

That totally rocked! He looks so grown up. I would have lost my lunch just thinking of doing a speech that little. Hell I remember in middle school how speeches were the hardest thing ever. I had a major problem using the world "like" and in ones 2-3 minutes speech I used "like" over 60 times. To say the least I dont think I got a very good grade.

Ethan looks great and will do brilliantly.

I was thinking yesterday something that your comment confirmed...I think they are having them do speeches younger so they wont have as much of a fear of public speaking. He doesn't seem nervous at all...I mean I was nervous just practicing my speeches at home!!!

Aww, that's so cute. He did a great job. I think it's great that they are starting them so early on this. Maybe he won't be as petrified when he's my age as I am when giving speeches.
