At The Beach: Sail Away (July 7th)

While at the beach, we had a couple visitors that hadn't seen us in 5-7 years! First on the list was Andrew, his wife Jenny (sorry I somehow didn't take any pics of her), and their dog. After chatting for a bit, Roby and Andrew decided it would be a great idea to take the row boat out. It was quite entertaining to say the least! (No capsizing...bummer! :-) )

Icky! They spotted a big spider in there!

He made a nice home on the oar.

They thought it would be a good idea to hose the whole thing out...its been a while since anyone took the boat out.

Ethan was always perfectly content playing in the sand.

Good to go...

Had to get a smile on the way down to the shore.

haha I love Roby's face! Andrew was losing his flip-flops...

Got 'em! And they both got on without getting too wet.

I just thought this was a neat looking sail boat.

They went out pretty far!

All those boats will make a few waves! haha

You can see one of the first waves coming in (on this side of the row boat).

I still feel really bad about this...but there isn't anything I can do to change it... The last several days we were at the beach, Natalie got a slight fever and one of her eyes was red and scratchy. The general consensus (Roby's mom, step dad, grandma, sister, Roby and me) was that she was probably allergic to something...We gave her Motrin and benadyl to try to keep it under control with little results...come to find out, the day we left I had a red eye too. There was no goop, and I'd never heard of a fever with pink eye! She spent almost a week inside when she could have been on some meds and back out on the beach. :-( Poor baby!!!

Oh poor Nat, if only you would have known. Dont feel bad though, I was oblivious the first time S and I had it (the only time...knock on wood).

You got some great boat pics. Way to go girl, a well documented holiday through photos. I am proud of you. Thanks for sharing.
